SWIMMING By Shantelle

The clappers went and I swooped in I raced down  encouraging and shrieks ran down the lines. Growing angrily, we zoom down our hearts strike as we touch the end on the lane. Carefully , one by one jump out and start to drip and drop. We get pats on our backs. Thinking smartly, we watch the kids swim  rapidly.cracking cheering as I touch the ruf end until I find myself coming 4th. Slowly I make my way down to the end of the lane and stop and I sit down now I know what it feels like.

                           Biking by shantelle

First day, I learnt if you have more than two fingers under your helmet you have to tighten it. You have to bike in a straight line or you will crash. We learnt a game and the year 6s or year 5s stand on the outside, and the people on there bikes go in a circle inside the box when somebody touched the ground they are out,so you have to slow but to slow.Second day, at the start we played the game and  then we learnt how to use our breaks we road up then stopped in the cons then we did a tortoise race so everybody had to go slow
Whoever is first louses whoever came last wins.Third day we learnt to bike with one hand it is actually good to learn to bike with one hand so your hand is your indicator and your hand is your stop sign.

                                                 Overdue
By Shantelle

Racing climbing like a star my fingers fiddle, my eyes are glued on. Extremely tired, I fixed my eyes on the gold. Overexcited I see my precious treasure.  Carefully I Place my hand on it. Dreaming gracefully, I start reading fast and  never stop. Delicately , I uncross my legs but then it got serious.Flowing angrily , into the scary story. Trees sighed and whined little bit scared I went up to them. Crashing wildly, leaves fall down and and attack their prey. Starving to death,I  my way slowly down to the little old apple tree. The wildness grew as I ate an apple then it happened  “IT’S TIME!” as soon as I heard I knew what it meant.Growing and feeling familiar tree’s growl , as I touch the little old apple tree. Stirring heartily ,I feel my PRIDE go away . Buzzing sounds , call into my  et the palm of my hands turn into a soggy hot sweaty monster then I look around the trees are gone , all I see is crazy money.

 Mud Life by Shantelle
I slipped and slid down the gray path way. The sticky mud was eating my nice clean shoes. I tiptoed my way down with the help of a stick.

My skin shivered. I slowly jumped off the ugly log. My feet slipped on the leaves and got stuck in the mud. Silently I wondered why I was here.

The old tree branches whined as the angry wind blew them away. The strength in my  legs was not powerful like it normally is. The damaged stick was unhappily stuck in the dirt.

Mud, mud, mud!  All I ever see is sticky mud! Mud is the  colour of chocolate.   File:Mud closeup.jpg

Tawa Team Raglan Beach Trip

Tawa Team had a wonderful day trip to Raglan beach. Shantelle and her group completed the scavenger hunt and had a lot of fun. Shantelle used the key competency of Participating and Contributing by accepting responsibility as an individual and as a group member. She also demonstrated the competency of Relating to Others when she worked cooperatively with her group and was considerate of their thoughts and feelings.

Welcome Shantelle

Welcome to Room 7 Shantelle. Shantelle is a Year 4 student. Shantelle is a respectful and responsible student. She is a role model to the other students as she demonstrates initiative and helpfulness. She possesses quiet leadership potential which we can develop as the year progresses.
